For transport, machinery and equipment dealers

How TAFS helps your dealership grow.

A calculator your customers can use on your website. A process that makes finance as easy as possible for them. A portal that shows you where every deal sits and what you’ve earned.

We’ve fine tuned our process over the past 10 years, and now we’ve custom built the technology to streamline it further. We offer this exclusively to our partners, connected to their site and systems, at no cost and with no maintenance.

Behind this technology, sits an internal credit team and a brokerage built around getting even the hardest deals done.

The gap TAFS helps to close

Getting more units across the line.

The sale is usually made on your floor. Then it leaves your hands. The customer goes to their bank, or a broker who does home loans on the side, and the deal goes quiet. You never find out that it fell over until you ask.

Nothing about that is a sales problem, it’s a handover problem. You need a finance partner who operates at the same level that you do.

Our answer is to give you the tools to close that gap: pricing on your own website, an application that starts the second we have the customers number, and a portal that means you have the answer to any question the second you need it.

Embeddable finance calculator

Let your customers sell themselves on the finance.

A buyer looking at a $180,000 prime mover isn’t calculating repayments in their head. They’re guessing, and more often than not the guess is higher than the reality. Our calculator sits on your site and lets your customers see an estimate for themselves, all while looking at your products.

  • Weekly, fortnightly and monthly repayments from one input
  • Deposit, balloon and term all adjustable by the customer
  • Your colours, your logo, sitting inside your page rather than sending traffic away

Application widget

The most time consuming part of finance made simple.

The biggest delay in finance decisions is document collection. Three days waiting for a drivers licence, plus more for bank statements. Our application widget means that you can do all of this at the point of sale, and we can call back within minutes.

  • Online privacy consent built into the flow, so nothing is held up waiting on a signature
  • Licence capture and secure bank statement connectivity

Dealer partner portal

Submit a lead in one click, and stay up to date on everything.

Your salespeople submit a customer from their phone. From that point on, the deal is visible: contacted, submitted, approved, docs out, settled. You don't need to make multiple phone calls just to get an update.

Your portal also shows your earnings, with customisable levels for sales managers and upper management to get an overview on all commission paid.

  • One-click referral from the salesperson
  • Real-time stage tracking on every deal
  • Commission earned, to date and by period
  • Submissions flow straight into our CRM, no re-keying

Tailored builds and integrations

You’ve got your systems down, we build to work with them.

Most dealers already have their DMS, a stock feed, and a CRM they’re not about to replace. We can API in and out, so you don’t have to learn to use a whole new tech stack.

Beyond that, if there’s a piece of software that would make your sales process better, we’ll scope it. We have an internal development team dedicated to custom builds.

  • API in and out of your existing DMS or CRM
  • In-house team in Sydney, not an offshore queue

What happens after the referral

Good software with a slow broker behind it is still a slow deal.

The technology only earns its keep if the people behind it move. These are the standards your customer gets from the moment your salesperson submits them.

10 minutes

Target time to first contact with your customer. Three calls on day one, then a text and email sequence that collects the privacy form, licence and banking link.

Same day

Application structured and submitted, with approval the same day from many lenders. Second tier credit queues can run two to four days, and we say so upfront rather than after.

Experienced deal structuring

Every deal is packaged by the account manager, checked by our internal credit team, and rigorously checked.

Overnight

Most settlements go through overnight. RTGS is available on request when a customer has to collect on a particular day, and we set that expectation at the start.

Every stage

Your salesperson is texted and emailed automatically at submitted, approved, documents out and settled. They do not have to chase us, and you do not have to chase them.

Nationwide

Same service in every state from our Sydney office. The only concession we make to geography is not ringing a WA customer at eight in the morning Eastern time.

Deals other brokers sent back

The easy ones approve anywhere. Judge us on the hard ones.

A clean customer with a mortgage and five years of trading will get approved by anyone. What costs you sales is the buyer who is standing on your floor with a deposit and a problem: a two month old ABN, an ATO payment plan, a default from a business that failed in 2021, or a used unit a bank will not touch.

We have an internal credit team and 80+ lenders, including near-prime and specialist credit. Placement accuracy is the whole job. Every broker uses the same lenders, so the difference is knowing which one says yes to this customer, first time, rather than burning their credit file finding out.

Trucks and trailers

$900,000 ATO debt blocking new finance, fleet owned outright

The deal.  An 18-year-old road construction business turning over around $30 million a year. It delivers asphalt, concrete, spray seal and 24-hour emergency response work, and it needed to keep growing its fleet.

Why it was hard.  Cash flow pressure after the COVID lockdowns left the business with a $900,000 ATO debt. The work was there and the business was solid, but lenders wouldn't fund new equipment with a tax liability that size on the books.

What we did.  We went through the balance sheet and found that much of the fleet was owned outright. We arranged capital raises across ten assets (six trucks, three trailers and a skid steer), all on 60-month terms, and raised $755,000. That paid down most of the ATO debt and put the rest on a manageable payment plan, which opened equipment finance back up for the business.

Mining dump trucks

Bank at its limit, 19-year-old trucks, related-party sale

The deal.  A national mining support business that has been trading for 14 years, turns over around $100 million a year and provides wet and dry hire. It was buying three CAT 789C dump trucks (2004, 2005 and 2006 models) from a related entity, with $4.29 million to finance over 60 months.

Why it was hard.  There were three problems at once. The bank had hit its internal exposure limit, even though the business had a perfect repayment history. The trucks were 17 to 19 years old, which is outside standard policy for many financiers. And buying from a related entity added another round of scrutiny.

What we did.  We didn't push all three through one lender. We placed each truck with a separate financier on its own chattel mortgage, and chose each lender for its appetite on asset age and related-party structures. All three settled on time. The business now has three new financier relationships to spread its quarterly purchases across.

Camera trailers

Six shareholders, three directors, one guarantee

The deal.  A specialist monitoring business that has been trading for 15 years and turns over around $5 million a year. It supplies monitoring equipment and custom solutions to electrical utilities, recycling and waste, agriculture, mining and transport. It needed three new 2025 Briteforce WCT450E-4P LiFePO4 camera trailers, with $167,756 to finance over 60 months, to meet growing project demand.

Why it was hard.  The company has three directors and six shareholders, and most lenders wanted personal guarantees from at least half the shareholders. That meant collecting licences, privacy consents and contact details from several people, then getting each of them to sign the loan contracts. On a time-sensitive purchase, that kind of admin can stall a deal for weeks.

What we did.  We went through our lender panel and found a financier that was comfortable with a single director's guarantee. That cut the paperwork down to one person, and the deal moved quickly through approval and settlement. The client took delivery of all three trailers on time.

The rest of the partnership

Some of what we do for dealer partners has nothing to do with finance.

We have an in-house marketing team, a videographer, a developer and an AI engineer, all in Sydney. A good dealer partnership tends to use more of that than just the credit desk.

Marketing that fills your yard

We run Facebook and Instagram campaigns for dealer partners and build the creative ourselves. That includes coming to site: salesperson walkthroughs of stock, a dealership overview, meet the team, and a shortform content library you keep and use on your own channels.

Subvention on your products

We can set up subvented finance against specific models or stock so you have a rate to advertise that nobody else in your segment can match. It turns finance from a hurdle at the end of the sale into a reason the customer chose you.

Getting set up

We move as fast as you do.

01

Apply

Fill in the partner application. We call you the same business day, usually within the hour, and talk through how finance currently works in your business.

02

Terms in writing

We agree on the structure in writing before you refer anyone, and an agreement is signed by both parties.

03

Your tech goes live

We send the calculator embed code, set up portal logins for your reps and managers, and give your team the application link. Where you want an integration, we scope it here.

04

You refer, we settle, you get paid

Commission is paid at settlement, usually before we are paid ourselves. You watch it accumulate in the portal rather than waiting on a statement.

Dealer Services FAQs

What does the technology cost us?

Nothing. There is no licence fee, no setup fee and no ongoing cost. We build it because it makes your deals settle faster, and we are paid by the lender when they do. If we ever built something bespoke that carried a real cost, you would know the number before we started.

Do we need a developer to put the calculator on our site?

No. It is a single embed code that goes into a page the same way a YouTube video does, and whoever looks after your website can do it in under an hour. If you would rather not touch it at all, send us the login and we will do it and show you what we changed.

Can it be branded as ours rather than yours?

Yes. The calculator and the application widget carry your colours and your logo so they read as part of your site rather than an ad for us. Credit licence disclosure still has to appear, because the credit activity is ours, but it sits where disclosure normally sits rather than across the top of the tool.

Who owns the customer data that goes through the portal?

You own your customer data. We hold what we need to arrange the finance and meet our own compliance obligations, and we do not sell your customer a different asset or send them to a competitor. We do commercial asset finance only, so there is no other product we would want to cross-sell them.

Can you integrate with our DMS or CRM?

In most cases yes. We have an API in and out, so a referral can be raised from inside the system your reps already work in, and deal status can be written back to it. What is possible depends on what your platform exposes, so it is a conversation with our developer rather than a yes or no on a web page.

Can each salesperson see what they personally have earned?

Yes, and it is one of the reasons referral volume holds up. A rep sees their own deals and their own earnings, the sales manager sees the branch, and head office sees everything. You decide who gets which view when we set the logins up.

Does my sales team have to learn finance?

No, and we would rather they did not try. Their job is to submit a name and a phone number and go back to selling. We explain policy to the customer where it is relevant, for example that a customer without property behind them will usually need a twenty percent deposit, so your rep is never the one delivering bad news they did not create.

What is the least we need to send you to start a deal?

A name and a phone number. Email, company name and the quote are all helpful and speed things up, but they are not required. We would much rather have the customer in ten minutes with half the information than in two days with all of it.

We already work with another broker. Does this have to be exclusive?

No. Plenty of dealers start by sending us the deals their existing broker has already knocked back, which is a fair test of whether we are any better. The technology works the same whether we get all of your referrals or the difficult tenth of them.

How long until we are live, and is there a minimum volume?

Usually about a week from the first call to logins and embed code in your hands. There is no minimum volume and no obligation to refer anyone. We are selective about who we partner with because we are looking for long-term relationships, not a pipe full of impaired credit.
